Man Utd boss suggests for Summer transfers
Man Utd boss suggests investments for the owners of the club to maintain the good form of the team. On the Guidance of the Erik ten Hag Manchester United has reached the top four position of the premier league in the first season after his take over, and their victory at the Carabao Cup finals with 2-0 over Newcastle United. The club also had their foot stepped on the FA cup finals after the appointment of the Erik ten Hag.
Erik ten Hag takes further step on the path of the Manchester United by stating that, “If you want to play top four, you have to invest”.
On the time of winter transfers in January 2023 Erik was limited with only three signings on loan. Eventhough they pulled out to be one of the Finest team in the Premier league season 2023. Currently Manchester United is in third position with 14 points behind the current champions Manchester city in the league.
After the Premier league season end, Ten Had said, “The club knows that if you want to play top four, if you want to compete for trophies in this tough league, you have to invest, otherwise you won’t progress because other clubs will.
“We saw it in the winter. All the clubs around us invested. We didn’t and still we made it. So I am really happy and proud of my team.”
As of the winter transfers stats, Manchester united was on the five teams who not spend in january transfer windows and eventually ended up in the campaign of the European spots. On his first transfers after his take over of Manchester united, he was allowed to spend more than £225m on Six players, which includes Antony with £86m when being signed from the manager’s former club Ajax.
But the amount spend around £200m in Erik ten Hag’s first summer transfers, was Crtitcized by Pep Guardiola on the carabao cup finals.
Harry Kane, Declan Rice and Mason Mount are on Manchester United’s transfer shortlist this summer but it is unlikely they will sign all three.
United are in the market for a striker and it is thought their No 1 target is Kane. United have a long-standing interest in the striker but Tottenham do not want to sell and he is contracted to them until next summer.
Rice will be allowed to leave West Ham for the right price this summer but Arsenal are his most likely destination at the moment. Mount has a year left on his contract and Chelsea still want him to sign a new deal.
Parties in Man Utd takeover bidding
Since the sale of Manchester united was announced by Glazer family Sir Jim Ratcliff, the founder of INEOS showed interest in buying the club from the start of the sale and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al- Thani, the Qatari Buisnessman, joined the bidding on the sale of Manchester united club. The Bidding of club by Sir Jim Ratcliff and Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani crossed over £5.5billion on the last day of the bidding which was the second chance given by Glazers family to reconsider the bidding price for both the parties.
On speaking of the bidding, it would be more comfortable for Erik ten Hag if there is no change in the ownership. He said on the interview, “I think so. I came in here [at the end of] last season and we talked about what can we do in the squad, what can we do in transfers.
“Last year, the club confirmed they can do. So, for me, I don’t think anything changed and yes, in this summer period we can do the same.”
But on the last week board meeting, it is said to be known that, Sir Jim Ratcliff remains to be the candidate on buying the club. A source close to the auction said the directors did not opt to enter into exclusive negotiations with either Ineos Sports or its principal rival, the Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani.
Ratcliffe is proposing to buy a majority stake in United which would leave two of the Glazers involved, while Sheikh Jassim wants to buy the club outright.
