Man Utd makes third bid for Mason Mount
Manchester United is keen about signing the deal with Chelsea’s Mason Mount, as Man Utd makes third bid for Mason Mount worthing £55m. As the summer transfers is online, the clubs are very interested in making new deals with various players from other clubs.
Such an interest is the third bid for Mason Mount by Manchester United as they offer £55m for the player. They are ready to talk about the negotiations with the Blues if the offer is not accepted.
But on the Blues side, they value the England International upto £70m. Manchester City had offered £40m for the player in the first bid which was rejected by Chelsea. Earlier this week, Manchester United improvised the offer with £50m which was also rejected by Chelsea.
Erik ten Hag wants Mason Mount to be the first signing in this summer, as he is in well performing and looks to be strengthening his side, which gives the qualification for next seasons champions league.
The likelihood of Mount staying at Stamford Bridge is remote with the midfielder unwilling to sign a new deal. Chelsea know this is the time to cash in on a player who has just one year left on his contract. Ten Hag, it seems, could be about to get his man. On other hand, Man city had signed Mateo Kovacic for £30m on the summer transfers.
Shaw and England manager Gareth Southgate both joked about how players have been “tapping up” each other during the June international break, which falls in the same month as the opening of the transfer window.
As personal terms are not said to be the problem in this bid, Erik ten Hag is confident in signing the deal and wants to make the move to the club.
Mount, who has scored 33 goals in 195 appearances for Chelsea since making his debut in 2019, missed the end of the domestic season with injury as the Blues came 12th – their lowest finish for more than 25 years.
The 24-year-old has been capped 36 times by England, scoring five goals, and was part of manager Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Upon his return to Chelsea in 2019, Mount made his breakthrough under the newly appointed Lampard and became a key player at Stamford Bridge. And to be noted, Arsenal had signed Chelsean Player Kai Havertz £for 65m.
