After James Anderson’s retirement by the end of the opening test in the summer, head coach Brendon McCullum is clear on building a new pace attack aiming to continue the winning streak in the season.

Jofra Archer (Sussex)
The 29-year-old right-arm fast bowler Jofra Archer has made his debut for England during the ODI match against Ireland on May 03, 2019, in Dublin. He has been signed on a two-year central contract with England.
Gus Atkinson (Surrey)
Gus Atkinson who plays for Surrey in the domestic games, made his international debut during the 2nd T20I match on the New Zealand tour of England and picked a four-wicket haul in the 17 balls he bowled in the match. He earned his professional contract in October 2017 after impressing Surrey's second team throughout the previous summer.
He made his test debut during the ongoing West Indies tour of England picking 12 wickets in his first test.
Matthew Fisher (Yorkshire)
The 26-year-old Right arm medium fast Matthew Fisher plays for Yorkshire in the first-class competitions and has played his only test during the second test of England's tour of West Indies in 2022.
With yet to make his debut in the ODI and T20I formats, he is under England's Development contracts. Despite having a lot of injury history, he had made a significant name in domestic games.
Chris Jordan (Surrey)
The 35-year-old known for his calmness and fearsome yorker has been called a death specialist in T20 cricket for England. He made his international debut during the match 5th ODI against Australia on September 16, 2013.
Currently, he is not involved in the central contract and plays for Surrey in Vitality Blast after featuring for the national side in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire)
The 27-year-old Right-arm medium fast bowler who plays for Lancashire has named himself as a bowler of the international clash during the ODI series against Pakistan in 2021. He picked four wickets for 42 and was named the player of the series after England clean sweep 3-0.
He made his international debut during the 2nd T20I of England's tour of New Zealand on November 03, 2019, and is currently being involved with ECB's contract under the development category.
Tymai Mills (Sussex)
Tymai Mills made his international debut during a T20I match against Sri Lanka on July 05, 2016, and plays for Sussex in the domestic and first-class games. With yet to make his test and ODI debut for England, he was called for T20 World Cup 2021 despite his injury concerns threatening his career.
He is one of the most explosive fast bowlers known for his thinking in the T20 format. His diagnosis of congenital back in 2015 made him embrace the franchise circuit.
Dillon Pennington ( Nottinghamshire)
The right-arm medium fast bowler Dillon Pennington who plays for Nottinghamshire has been currently involved in the West Indies tour of England 2024. with yet to make his international debut, he has possessed a name of imposing a fast bowler leveling the international bowlers.
He signed his professional contract ahead of the 2018 season and has also received credit from the former South African pacer Morne Morkel. He has also represented England in the U-19 World Cup in 2018.
Matthew Potts (Durham)
The 25-year-old Matthew Potts has featured in some ODI and Test matches for the national side and is yet to make his T20I debut. He currently secured the central contract from the England Cricket Board and is involved in the Vitality Blast 2024.
He entered into the international career after a stunning start in the county championship season which highlighted his attributes in FC cricket.
Ollie Robinson (Sussex)
The 30-year-old bowler Ollie Robinson who plays for Sussex in the domestic circuit, established a firm stand in test career. With yet to make his ODI and T20I debuts, he holds a central contract.
He made his test debut against New Zealand at Lord's picking seven wickets for the match and scoring 42 runs in his maiden innings, but was banned for eight matches and fined 3200 euros for a disciplinary action.
George Scrimshaw (Northamptonshire)
The 26-year-old George Scrimshaw played his only ODI against Ireland in September 2023 after various injury concerns. He completed the match with 3 for 66 including the wicket to seal victory. He made his t20 debut at the age of 19 for Worcestershire. However, he has featured in a few List A and FC matches in his career.
Josh Tongue (Nottinghamshire)
The 26-year-old Josh Tongue plays for Nottinghamshire in the domestic circuit and has played two tests for England. He made his test debut during the match against Ireland at Lord's in June 2023.
With yet to make his ODI and T20I debut, he holds the central contract. He has not been involved in any competitive cricket since August 2023.
Reece Topley (Surrey)
Reece Topley who holds central contracts, has played several ODIs and T20Is. the left arm seamer known for his yorker, has been limited by his injury history. His career was in peril as he suffered a series of stress fractures doubting his ability to play again.
He was part of the T20 World Cup squad in 2022, but rolled his left ankle, rupturing the ligaments after stepping on a boundary sponge. He was part of the T20 World Cup squad that played in the West Indies and the USA.
John Turner (Hampshire)
John Turner who linked up with England's board on a development contract, is yet to make his international debut. He is currently involved in the Vitality Blast 2024 playing for Hampshire.
Luke Wood (Lancashire)
The 28-year-old left-arm medium-fast Luke Wood has played a couple of ODIs and T20Is for England and plays for Lancashire in the domestic circuit.
He made his international debut during the T20I match against Pakistan on September 20, 2022, at Karachi and made his ODI debut during the match against Australia on November 17, 2022.
Mark Wood ( Durham)
The 34-year-old Right-arm fast Mark Wood plays for Durham in the domestic circuit and has appeared for England across all formats. He made his international debut during an ODI match against Ireland on May 08, 2015.
His Test Debut comes against New Zealand at Lord's on May 21, 2015. Later he made his T20I debut against New Zealand on June 23, 2015. After James Anderson's retirement, Wood was named in the Playing 11 for West Indies tour of England.
