Emirati Giants Al Jazira Club has signed former Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny putting an end to his eight-year span at the Premier League Club.
The 32-year-old is currently the leading Egypt U23 national team at the Paris Olympics 2024 where she put up an impressive performance in their opening two games against Dominican Republic and Uzbekistan. “It’s the time. Elneny Jazrawi,” Al-Jazira posted on X.

The announcement was made by the Emirati Club during Egypt’s clash with Spain at the Olympics, the game which Elneny started and so far leading Egypt to a historic win.
Mohamed Elneny becomes the club’s third summer signing after Mohamed Atiq and Brazilian left-back Vitor Vargas as the club wants to build on their eighth-place finish last season.
The Club coached by Gregory Dufrennes has several stars including Karik Rekik and Alejandro Kamara. Fernando is also part of the squad and former Fulham players Neeskens Kebano and Aboubakar Kamara.
Elneny will join the Al Jazira after his participation with Egypt in the 2024 Paris Olympics which is set to continue as the Young Pharaohs qualified for the quarterfinals.
Mohamed Elneny joined Arsenal from Basel in 2016 for a fee of 5 million pounds and made 161 appearances for the London club, winning the FA Cup in 2017.
