The England batter Harry Brook has smashed a stunning triple century in tests and become the first Englishman in 34 years to do so during the first match against Pakistan on October 10.
He reached the landmark with a boundary on a deliver from off-spinner Saim Ayub becoming the sixth Englishman to achieve the feat in Test Cricket.
He made his 300 runs in 310 deliveries which included 28 fours and three sixes before being dismissed for 317 runs in 322 deliveries.
Harry Brook surpassed Virender Sehwag’s 20-year-old record in Multan when he smashed 309 runs against Pakistan. Sehwag’s score was the highest individual score at the venue and the only triple century in Multan til today (October 10).
Having scored three centuries in Pakistan during England’s tour of Pakistan in 2022 where the visitors secured a 3-0 clean sweep, Brook has registered himself as one of the brightest talents in English cricket.

England legends like Andy Sandham, Len Lutton, Wally Hammond, Graham Gooch, and Bill Edrich, have also crossed the 300-run mark in Tests.
Gooch was the last batter to have scored a triple century for England before Brook, scoring 333 against India at Lord’s.
Joe Root hit his sixth double-century and put the side in the lead. Root and Harry Brook stitched a 454-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Joe Root missed his triple century as he got dismissed for 262 runs by Agha Salman.
Their partnership helped England to pile up 800 runs mark giving them a lead of over 200 against Pakistan’s first innings score of 556.
Brook’s achievement and England’s dominance, have reignited concerns over the Multan pitch. Initially touted as a bowler-friendly wicket by Pakistan head coach Jason Gillespie, the surface has instead played into the hands of batters.
Pakistan started their second innings but struggled to score runs and lost five wickets for scoring 59 runs at Multan Cricket Stadium.
