Chelsea’s Spent finance on Transfer

As the Transfers for the Premier League transfers has been completed by the end of January, Chelsea spent £107m of which was spent on the British transfer record to sign Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea broke the record for the highest spend for transfer in football history on the back of the biggest-ever summer window.

There was so many criticism for the Chelsea’s big amount spend on transfers by Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola. Chelsea’s boss Graham Potter has stated that he won’t “worry too much” about external opinions of the club’s recent transfer activity in premier league after Jurgen Klopp and City’s Pep Guardiola were asked for their judgement.

The new signings such as the £107m Enzo Fernandez and £88m Mykhailo Mudryk all follow the same strategy.

Chelsea are targeting the most endurable players with the hope of developing them into world class players, although they have paid a top price for them all.

But the tactics for Chelsea’s manager for his club remains to be unnoticed. Maybe the match proved to be failure of the money spend on transfer. But its not gonna be like it will be the same in upcoming matches of premier league. They may have a chance to shine or prove what it takes to be a number one team.

About the last Premier league match between Chelsea and Fulham, Klopp said he was confused how Chelsea could spend so much after a £300m outlay last summer, but said he wouldn’t talk without his lawyer.

Against Fulham last Friday, away supporters chanted ‘What a waste of money’ at Fernandez as the Argentine made his debut at Stamford Bridge.

But Potter cared nothing as he thinks it will be apart where everyone criticize, but not take any action as the managers decides for the club.

Potter’s Statement for Crtitics

‘It’s normal,’ said Potter.

‘We’ve spent the money we’ve spent. The media aren’t going to let that go under the radar. All of football will be singing that song, that’s for sure. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. There’s free speech, which is good. I don’t worry about that.

‘Envy isn’t a good quality to have. I’ve never been envious of anybody. I’ve tried to work and do the best I can in the circumstances I have.

‘You’re best to compare to yourself rather than somebody else because you don’t know the context or the situation. I also understand that’s the world we’re in, and that’s fine by me

‘Most managers would love to be in my position,’ added Potter.

‘It’s a fantastic football club, and a really exciting time. You should never really compare yourself to somebody else because you don’t know their circumstances. All you can do is try to improve yourself.

‘Anybody that works here should be excited and grateful and happy, because it’s a fantastic football club.’

Seven players arrived during a frantic month, many on long-term contracts as the Boehly-Clearlake regime continue to overhaul the squad.

Klopp and Guardiola’s view on Chelsea’s transfer

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola both discussed the topic on Friday, with Klopp issuing a bewildered response.

“I don’t understand how it’s possible, but it’s not for me to explain how it works,” said the Liverpool boss.

He said: “I know what would happen because we have in the last five or six years.

“What counts is winning titles. What Chelsea and the other clubs have done is not my business.

“You need good players like they [big spending teams] all believe but the market is just wow now. You have to spend to achieve. This is the reality.

“In football there’s not a position where you are completely right so we just do our best.”

Guardiola, meanwhile, stressed that the reaction would have been much worse had it been City who embarked on such a huge spending.
