The England Test captain Ben Stokes hits the fastest fifty by an England batsman during the 3rd test match against West Indies helping the side to secure 10 wicket victory at Edgbaston on Sunday.
England sealed a 3-0 series win after Ben Stokes recorded a quick test fifty and surpassed Ian Botham’s record of 28-ball fifty he recorded during the match against India in 1981. Stokes who opened for England in place of injured Zak Crawley took 24 balls to smash fifty including nine fours and six.
The match was quite intense until Mark Wood put up a clinical performance picking a five-wicket haul in helping the hosts to restrict West Indies to 175 runs. Mark Wood took Five-Fer for 40 runs, but his wickets came in a spell where he conceded just nine runs.
