Man. City plans on Signing Jude Bellingham
Man. City are being confident they can sign Jude Bellingham this summer ahead of Real Madrid, who has a plan in signing for the club which is kept under Wraps.
After it was reported that Liverpool were now unlikely to land young and energetic Bellingham in the summer despite being heavily linked with his signature, Reporters have claimed that Manchester City are growing confident that they can land the midfielder from Borussia Dortmund ahead of Real Madrid, in a recent update.
As of the rumours the Manchester is planning a big plot for signing Bellingham for this summer and very confident about the contract.
Are Real madrid in Race of Signing Jude Bellingham
The race for Bellingham has been one of football’s biggest expected one over the last 12 months and looks set to come set up fire in the coming Summer. The report states that Real are still in the race for Bellingham, but he is currently City’s priority transfer target. Liverpool and Manchester United also remain interested, but it is unlikely he will end up at either of the two clubs with a two-horse race developing.
Dortmund hopes to hold Bellingham for at least one more year, but should City get their wish and sign the teenage starlet, Los Blancos are ready to pounce on Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese midfielder expressed his desire to leave City last summer and was courted by Barcelona, but a move failed to materialise.
The German club have set a £132m asking price for Jude Bellingham, 19-year-old England international expected to depart at the end of the season.
Therefore, any move for the midfielder is likely to be a British transfer record which could potentially rule Liverpool out of the race to sign the superstar, especially given their struggles in the Premier League and slim chances of progressing to the last-eight of the Champions League this season.
The report adds that Madrid and City are two viable options, but it is thought that the Spanish are more focused on landing a new striker in the summer, with United also likely to prioritise a frontman. Bellingham is out of contract in 2025, meaning Dortmund can demand a heave price for him this year.
Elsewhere, El Nacional have reported that Pep Guardiola does not want the Blues to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar. It comes after reports claimed that the French giants were open to letting their ace leave the club.
Liverpool in the battle of signing Jude Belingham
Liverpool are unlikely to enter a transfer battle for the midfielder against Real Madrid and Manchester City. Both clubs have intensive financial background and could match Dortmund’s demands. The Reds could be thrown off by Bellingham’s price even though manager Jurgen Klopp has a big interest in Jude Bellingham.
Moreover, Liverpool are sixth in the Premier League, seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with two games in hand. They could miss out on the UEFA Champions League next season, which could be another factor for them in losing out on Bellingham.
The former City midfielder has been impressive for club and country this season. He has scored ten goals and provided six assists in 34 games for Dortmund across competitions from his central midfield position.
Bellingham, 19, also made an impact at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, helping England reach the quarterfinals, bagging a goal and an assist in five appearances. He could now be well on his way to either Manchester City or Real Madrid.
The 2022 campaign hasn’t been the kindest for Jurgen Klopp side after the challenge was not a favorable one in the last season. They have won two domestic cups in last season but had a heavy loss and missed the opportunity to hold premier league and Champions league.
Liverpool have produced some good show as they crushed some of outstanding teams, including a 7-0 demolition of rivals Manchester United and a 9-0 win over Bournemouth. However, those matches proved to be a great victory still Liverpool does not have what it takes for Premier league title and European spots.
Signing someone like Bellingham could be a huge boost for the Reds. However, as it appears, they might have to challenge two of the big team in European football for his sign in the contract.
