Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has been named as the captain of the England Champions for the World Championship of Legends 2024.

The 2024 edition of the World Championship of Legends will be played between July 3 and 13 in England. The first match of the World Championship of Legends 2024 will be played between England Champions and India Champions on July 3 in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
A total of six teams will feature in the tournament where a total of 18 matches will be played including two semi-finals and a final. Edgbaston in Birmingham and County Ground in Northampton will host the entire tournament.
The top four teams of the group stage will advance to the knockout stage where the winners of the semi-final 1 and 2 will play the grand final in Birmingham.
Along with England champions, former cricketers from South Africa, Australia, India, West Indies and Pakistan will also feature in their respective national teams.
Speaking of the England Champions squad, former England top-order batter Kevin Pietersen will lead the side consisting of many great cricketers like Ian Bell and Kevin O Brien. Pietersen has featured in all three formats for England between 2005 and 2014, which included a brief tenure as captain.
Kevin Pietersen played a crucial role in England’s maiden T20 World Cup title in 2009 which England won under the captaincy of Paul Collingwood.
