Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff’s son, Rocky Flintoff at the age of 16 scripts a rare history by becoming the youngest player to score a century for the England U19s.

Rocky Flintoff achieved this milestone during the second Youth Men’s Test against Sri Lanka Under-19 at Cheltenham. After signing his first professional contract with Lancashire just last month, the son of former England all-rounder shines with his batting skill.
Rocky reached his triple-digit mark on the third day of the game. The right-handed batter scored 82 on the previous day and secured his century with a single on the third ball of the 132nd over, bowled by Manuja Chanthuka.
The youngster took 181 balls to score his century which includes nine fours and two sixes.

Apart from Rocky Flintoff’s century, England’s captain Hamza Shaikh also scored a century (107) and helped his team to post a total of 477 and take a handsome lead of 324 runs in the first inning.
Jaydn Denly, nephew of former England Test cricketer Joe Denly who was on the verge of joining the centurions list missed his triple-digit mark by just nine runs. He played a brilliant knock and scored 91 runs before losing his wicket to Praveen Maneesha via LBW.
Speaking of the game, the England U19 skipper won the toss and chose to field first. England bowlers outcasted the Sri Lankan batters and folded for 153 runs. Naavya Sharma played a key role in England’s success in the bowling department.
Naavya Sharma bagged five wickets and conceded just 44 runs in his 12 overs while Harry Moore and Charlie Barnard bagged two wickets each and restricted the visitors for 153.
In their first inning, England scored 477 runs and made a mammoth lead of 324 runs. Sri Lankan on the other hand continued their struggle in the second inning as they were down to seven wickets for 246 runs. The visitors required 78 more runs to avoid an innings defeat.
