Sergio Busquets officially enters Inter Miami
Inter Miami have announced the signing of Barcelona, as Sergio Busquets enters Inter Miami joining his former team-mate Lionel Messi on the US club.
The 34 year old, announced in May he would be leaving the La Liga champions after 18 years at the club. He was the former team-mate of the world class player Lionel Messi who comfirmed this month he was moving to Inter Miami form Paris St-Germain.
Busquets and Messi spent 13 seasons together at barca from 2008 to 2021. They were a part of a successful team winning three champions league, eight La Liga titles and Six Copa del Reys.
Like Messi, former Spain midfielder Busquets received offers Saudi Arabia, but he has opted to move to Miami side. But he has opted to move to the Miami side owned by David Beckham.
Former Spain captain Busquets played 722 matches in total for Barcelona the third most appearances in the club’s history. Over his 15 years with the senior team he scored 18 goals and provided 40 assists. Newcastle is willing to signing Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.
Busquets joined the club in 2005 as a youth player, progressing to Barca’s B side before making his first-team debut under manager Pep Guardiola in a 2008 league game against Racing Santander. In announcing Busquets’ decision to leave the Nou Camp, Barcelona described him as “one of the best players ever to represent the club”. He retired from international football in December, having won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship with Spain.
Busquets received offers from Saudi Arabia, but the midfielder has chosen reunited with his old teammate for financial inferior deal. Inter Miami announced the signing on its social media with a video that had quotes from legends describing Busquets. John McGinn renews contracts with Aston Villa on four years contract.
The video had messages from spain manager vincete del Bosque said, “you watch the game you don’t see him, you watch him, you see the whole game.” It also included quotes from legendary midfielders Xavi Hernandez, Luka Modric, Barcelona legend Juan Riquelme and Lionel Messi.
The duo could also be joined by another Barcelona player as Jordi Alba is heavily linked with a move to the club. The left-back has also announced that he will the Catalan club on a free transfer as it was mutually agreed between the club and the player to terminate the contract one year earlier than it was due to expire at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Sergio Busquets is a Barcelona midfielder who has appeared in the vast majority of their LaLiga matches in 2022/2023, making 30 appearances overall and playing 2,347 minutes. He has started in 28 of these appearances across their 38 fixtures and entered as a substitute on two occasions.
The last time that Busquets featured in the league came on May 28 for Barcelona against Mallorca; a match that he played 85 minutes in during a 3-0 success. In total, he has registered four LaLiga assists this season. He has amassed six yellow cards, as well as sent off once.
In last season’s Primera División, Busquets appeared in 36 games for Barcelona and scored two goals.
The midfielder debuted in a LaLiga fixture for Barcelona on September 13, 2008 as a substitute against Racing Santander at the age of 20 years and 59 days. So far in his LaLiga career, he has appeared 481 times in the competition, with 11 goals scored and 35 assists.
