Toni Kroos extend contract for one year with Real Madrid
The La Liga champions Real Madrid of the season 2022/23, have interest in signing new players on the transfer windows. But Toni Kroos extends contract for one year with Real madrid until June 30, 2024.
Toni Kroos was scheduled to leave Los Blancos as a free agent next month after the contract expires. The Spainsh giants, though have confirmed that he will stay at the club for another season.
Real Madrid Instagram account made a post confirming Kroos renewal to their 141 million followers on June 21. Felix jokingly asked in his comment if the club had thought twice offering his brother a renewal.
Kroos future been up in the air for several months leading up to the summer windows. He said that he was close to extending his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, but it still took over months for the announcements to be made.
Kroos has been with Real Madrid since his 25million move from Bayern Munich nine years ago.
He had a big decision to make once it became clear that Los Blancos would be open to keeping him at the club beyond the summer.

Kroos’ game time in midfield could take a hit next season. He has been one of Madrid’s most trusted starters in the last decade or so, but Jude Bellingham’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund could push him down the pecking order.

Toni Kroos is a Real Madrid midfielder who has appeared in the vast majority of the club’s LaLiga matches in 2022/2023, making 30 appearances overall and playing 2,163 minutes. He has started in 25 of these appearances across their 38 fixtures and been used as a substitute on five occasions.
Kroos last made an appearance in a competition game on June 4, playing 90 minutes for Real Madrid against Athletic Club in a 1-1 draw. In total, the midfielder has netted two LaLiga goals this term, and chipped in with four assists. He has been sent off once.
It was versus Athletic Club on January 22 when Kroos last scored, netting in a 2-0 win. His opening goal of the campaign came in the 2-1 victory against Cadiz on November 10.
In last season’s Primera Division, Kroos featured in 28 games for Real Madrid, scored one goal and provided three assists.
Before joining Real Madrid in July 2014, Kroos made 130 league appearances in total at Bayern Munchen, scoring 13 goals and providing 25 assists.
It was on August 25, 2014 that Kroos made his competition debut, at the age of 24 years and 233 days, versus Córdoba. So far in his LaLiga career, he has played 273 times in the competition, with 21 goals and 62 assists.
