After missing the first test against Pakistan, captain Ben Stokes will be returning for England’s tour of Pakistan 2024 starting on October 15.
Ben Stokes has missed the entire Sri Lanka tour of England where the hosts secured a 2-1 win in the series due to a hamstring injury he sustained during The Hundred 2024. Previously, he captained the side to 3-0 glory against West Indies at home.
Ben Stokes and Matt Potts are the two changes named in the squad for the second test. Potts will be making his comeback after the appearance he made in Lord’s Test against Sri Lanka in August. Meanwhile, the seamers Gus Atkinson and Chris Woakes were rested.
